You won't get any installation utility that pops up, since Logitech doesn't really support Linux. But normally, their USB devices work fine with Linux (I use a Logitech standard infra-red USB mouse). I have heard of at least one user who uses the K750 with Ubuntu in the past.
Is the one you have USB? If so, do you get any indication at all when you plug it in?
Have you tried any other USB slots? If you're using a USB-3 slot, you may need to switch to USB-2, as there are sometimes compatibility issues. If it doesn't work, then you might be out of luck. Logitech isn't too good about Linux support, I don't think.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MsLizzy from A Solid Feel-Good Keyboard Once you get this keyboard to respond to your specific system (you may need a download) (I have Windows 7 Ultimate and needed a download), it is a really nice keyboard. The keys do not make a lot of noise and it just feels like a good keyboard. I happened to buy this with the corresponding wireless mouse and absolutely hate that mouse. I don't use it, just put it away in case my old mouse gives out.
One thing I do not like about the keyboard is that I canot tell when my caps lock is on. Before I bought it, Logitech told me I could download a program that would make that possible.
Cannot find that download and it is very difficult to get customer assistance. Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Slick looking solar-powered keyboard I use it in my Linux-only setup. Works great, looks good. MOst of the FN-shortcut keys that I use/need work in Ubuntu - Browser, email, Search, volume controls.
Unlike the MAC-clone keyboards out there, it has a full keyboard with numeric keypad and the Print-Screen/SysRq key that is useful in Linux One shortcoming is the absence of a CAPS Lock or Num Lock indicator. Another problem I faced was that the Logitech Unifying software which you need to add a second device to the Unifying Receiver doesn't work on Linux (or Wine).

I used a utility called unifyingpair.c by Benjamin Tissoires which worked for my Logitech M310 mouse. Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Hands down BEST keyboard I have ever had I was very skeptical about a solar powered keyboard but this blew me away. I use 2 keyboards at home due to having a work and personal computer at my desk, so I have to switch off keyboards often and cords get tangled. This is the perfect solution. The feel of this keyboard is so nice that I WANT to type on it.
I have no problems at all with the power level and I always work in a dark room due to screen glare from my windows - this keyboard stays charged. It is super-quiet to the touch, very thin and light, and the keys aren't too close together.
Great product. Rated 4 out of 5 by haruman from black slim and solar! I swapped this out in place of my dell keyboard and its great. There is definitely a silent click with each stroke, but it is definitely a short press with keystroke. I did have some issue with the battery being low while leaving it on all night, but it quickly charged up the next day. I think turning it off will help.
Perhaps the next verison should have an auto off. The unit itself is very slim and doesnt take much room. Its a bit too plasticky for my tastes, but still does the job. Also, unifing receiver is good and has good range. Keyboard recognized in both windows 7, xp, and ubuntu linux.
